Toyota plans to develop battery technology that will enable its next generation of electric vehicles (EVs) to have a range of 500 miles by 2026. The company's roadmap includes the introduction of a solid-state battery in 2027-28, offering 620 miles of range and an 80% charge in 10 minutes. Toyota aims to extend EV driving range to over 746 miles and eventually up to 932 miles. In addition, the company is working on two batteries, including a lower-cost option for entry-level EVs.
